On Saturday we woke up at 5:15 so that we could board the bus that was leaving the church at 6:15am to go to the Thomas S. Monson camp that was going to be dedicated that day. And yes, the prophet himself was there to dedicate it - how often does that happen? And I'm sleep deprived anyways...so we had to make the effort! We spent some good quality time on the bus with some friends. (7 hours!!) It was a bit crazy at times, but better than driving!
We had an hour or so to wait before the dedication service when we arrived so we went for a walk and tried to stay dry.
This was Benjamin during most of the dedication service. Joel took him into the woods so his crying wouldn't disturb everyone. It wasa little less rainy there too.

We saw the prophet! And even heard some of what he said in between dealing with fussy babies;) It was pouring before President Monson spoke, but as soon as he started, it all cleared up:) It was so neat to hear him speak in person. And he even wiggled his ears for us at the end.
This is as close as we came.
